To Sanders supporters.

Let us assume Sanders becomes president and works a once in a lifetime deal with republicans in congress to pass single payer healthcare but he must also ban all Muslims from entering the country and deport every single undocumented person. This would be his last and only chance. Do you think he would or should accept this deal?

This was a really silly question.

I have plenty of questions about a Sanders presidency (likewise for both Clinton and O'Malley), but I'd be happy to vote for any of them, and this isn't a valid question.

So Sanders supporters must at the very least understand that neither of these proposals are possible. I fail to comprehend the fanaticism around your candidate. From an outside perspective it is very similar to those who worship Trump.

We can't assume this deal you are assuming. Who presents it to the president? Is it Dick Cheney's plant in Prague the afternoon Atta had coffee? Is it Baghdad Bob? Is it Vada Pinson, left-handed center fielder for the 1960s Cincinnati Reds?

Assume nothing and sin no more.

His platform which includes both single payer and a fair policy toward immigration reform.

Your question is absurd.

Bernie does not make dirty deals like the one you suggesst.

I would say what I really think, but I don't want to hurt your feelings.

So I will just say that we should all relax.

The times they are a'changin'.

There is a meeting of the minds between the generation that came of age in the 60s and the yong voters of today.

The times they are a'changin'.

A lot of people are going to be left behind if they don"t get with the turning tide.

It"s part of the pulse of the history of America, yet another plunge forward toward justice. It is a recurring pattern.

My guess is that we will get immigration reform first and then a single payer program that will be phased in over time and be very popular.

We will move back to non-profit health insurance coverage, but not all at once, move the age for eligibility for Medicare. down, that is lower ir, and permit the government to negotiate drug prices.

Gradually profit will be reduced as will administrative costs in our healthcare system. We will introduce lessexpensive, more reliable technollogy into healthcare, and single payer will be a part of the process of enhancing and reducing the cost of healthcare.

Many righties are thinking nervously about a past reality that, as I write is becoming irrelevant.

Our choices will notbe those you propose.

Feel the Bern!

He's too decent to make a compromise that egregious, and more important, he has called upon us to back his play - to write and call Representatives and Senators, to march and otherwise exert massive social pressure.

Because one thing is sure. The ONLY thing the oligarchs are afraid of is us when we get together.
