Still, Bernie's coming to St. Paul on Tuesday and there's likely to be a big crowd.

I expect Clinton to win in the precinct caucuses on March 1, though. We'll see.

It's true the the actual Twin Cities Minneapolis St. Paul area is quite progressive in its voting. The greater metro area, though, is more moderate, and even includes a few large suburbs that vote Republican consistently.

A number of precincts will vote in the majority for Sanders in their caucuses, but most of those will be in the areas around our many universities. Other precincts will be in the Clinton camp. I expect more in that group than in the Sanders camp. The thing about Minnesota's convention delegates is that they are congressional district based, so it's likely that Clinton will get the majority here.

It seems pretty likely to me that the Strib's results will be close to the statewide actual caucus results.

since it claims Hillary would have trouble against Rubio or Cruz ... IN MINNESOTA.

In head-to-head matchups, Clinton is essentially tied with Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and trails Rubio, the Florida U.S. senator
