Why we shouldn't vote for Bernie.

Lessons learned from DU this week on why a vote for Bernie is evil:

* Like Hillary and Obama he never mentioned reparations.

* Art Garfunkel let him use his song.

* Ben and Jerry's founders support him.

* He scares the CEO of Blackstone who thinks he is unsettling world markets and might take all his money.

* Bloomberg hates him enough to run against him if he wins.

* He's scared Steve Forbes in to actually fearing 'violence, war, and bloodshed’ instead of his usual support for it.

* He doesn't talk about Israel enough.

* He has the wrong black friends.

* No pictures of him marching in 1965.

How can anybody support Bernie based on the above?

GE Electorate of 10mo. ago and what people have woken up to right now doesn't hold a candle to anything one can compare to now. That's why back 10 mo. ago the on-line voting and call-up polls where so out of whack with one another. People now are more committed and are registering in droves to make their vote count. Seems like now would be a more accurate feel to how the electorate is trending toward.

You're saying that Hillary can beat republicans but Bernie can't. In spite of Hillary supporters posting 10+ polls a day showing Hillary winning for the last several months, polls don't mean much. So the polls showing Bernie beating republicans by a much wider margin than Hillary shouldn't be taken as any sort of refutation of your position that Hillary is the only one who can beat republicans.

Seriously, this is a 40 megaton bullshit bomb. You, like a lot of Hillary supporters, are engaging in the most extreme form of motivated reasoning. You have a conclusion to reach and you are going to get there, no matter what facts get in your way.

Same old bullshit in a country where the majority of voters are tired of the same old bullshit. So, in my mind, she's the more dangerous pick if one is scared of another Republican in the White House. She's not energizing anyone, other than those on the right who detest her.

Obama ran in 2008 as an unabashed liberal, not that much different from Bernie. He didn't govern as one, certainly, but still scared the bejebus out of the establishment, both Dem and Rep, in 2008. The same complaints were made about him by the very same HRC supporters, limited, narrow experience, underfunded campaign relying on small donations, never been hit by the vaunted Rovean machine, etc., etc. Well, history turned out a bit different, didn't it.

As for that GOP attack machine, he's already being hit by that. Hillary is going all 2008 on him and it's sticking about as well as it did to Obama. It simply adds another coat of same old bullshit to her image. That dynamic will work the same with the Republicans. It's a matter of energy and new ideas. Obama understood that dynamic very well. He was able to shed the attacks and come out clean, with even more solid support than before by staying up beat and on message and trounced McCain's disjointed campaign.

Given the current economic and political mood of the country, I think he's exactly what the majority of voters are looking for. Hillary is not. She's just repackaged same old, same old. Dems win not by being Ike Republicans, but by getting energized voters to the polls. Hillary is incapable of doing that. Bernie certainly is.

....maybe if I don't see team Hillary employing the same dirty tricks and the same surrogates and the same double standards they did 8 years ago then it might be easier for me to hold my nose in the GE if she is the nominee. As it stands every day I see the same bullshit on here, the further and further I slip from being able to do that.

crowds, pretty big crowds, and the people who comprise them seem to be listening very carefully to what he says.

Must be something to his message that keeps packing those big arenas.

And Art Garfunkel. Man has some fine recordings with his pal Paul. Alone or together, they surely do make some memorable music. If they're ok with this Sanders guy playing one of their tunes in his ad, I think I'm ok with it too.

They sing "They've all come to look for America" -- as if America is yet to be found but is very much worth finding.

I think it is too.

Go, Bernie.

even though I'm a life long Feminist who has always fought against the notion that gender is a part of job qualifications. I ask these "Vagina (only) voters" how they feel about Hillary's ties to Monsanto,Walmart, Wall street, big banks, for profit prisons, arms manufacturers, and her eagerness for a war and I get crickets. Why does none of that stuff matter to so called "Democrats"?
