Curse of the Stench

"Paul Ryan has gone rogue. He is unleashed, unchained, off the hook.

...

Though Ryan had already decided to distance himself from the floundering Romney campaign, he now feels totally uninhibited. Reportedly, he has been marching around his campaign bus, saying things like, “If Stench calls, take a message” and “Tell Stench I’m having finger sandwiches with Peggy Noonan and will text him later.”

...

Dan Senor, one of Romney’s closest advisers, has kept a tight grip on Ryan, traveling with him everywhere and making sure he hews to the directions of the Romney “brain trust” in Boston. (A brain trust, rumor has it, that refers to Ryan as “Gilligan.”)"

Sounds like the zombie-eyed granny-starver has really jumped the rails and has gone even more rogue than Palin.

..whatever his hair-brained politically opinions and lies, Ryan's not a complete moron and can see Romney's beach-whale-floundering is torpedoing Ryan's political future. Distancing himself is a desperate ploy to salvage his future.

Shame about that. Maybe he'll have to get a real job.

for the Obama camp to play up the cordial relationship between the Obama and Biden families, contrasting with the Romney/Ryan antipathy.

I read some stuff on Twitter but dismissed it. No way Ryan was going to go this route this early.

Holy fuck, that campaign is in total shambles. Ryan can try all he wants, that stench aint coming off anytime soon. He's done nationally forever...

So what exactly would "going rogue" consist of for Ryan?

It can't involve telling more lies because he has already been doing that full time.

I certainly hope it involves him pushing his budget and the insidious philosophies behind that. We may have seen just a hit of that with the AARP speech. I have to believe that the Romney guys would have held Gilligan back if they knew what he was going to say. But even if Ryan were 100% loyal to Romney, it was still a really stupid idea to put Ryan in front of an AARP crowd and try to bullshit them about what he really has in mind for Medicare and Social Security. The AARP people are pretty well informed.
