Karl Rove's Super PAC Spends $1.2M to Defeat Tammy Baldwin

"The GOP heavy-hitter has started investing in Senate candidates, possibly indicating that Rove has lost confidence in Mitt Romney's ability to win the White House."

A conservative super PAC cofounded by Karl Rove spent $1.2 million on a new television ad attacking Wisconsin Senate candidate and out lesbian Rep. Tammy Baldwin, according to CNN. Baldwin is in a tight race with Republican Tommy Thompson, a former Wisconsin governor whose campaign has been accused of antigay attacks on Baldwin. If elected, Baldwin would be the first openly LGBT U.S. senator.

The 30-second spot, produced and funded by Crossroads GPS, says Baldwin is "just too extreme for Wisconsin" and features audio of the seven-term congresswoman saying "Damn right," a none-too-subtle attempt to portray Baldwin as a stereotypical angry lesbian.

I don't have any evidence to back this up, just a feeling I have.

the "Mayberry Machievelli's." It wasn't so much Karl Rove's genius as it was a extremely lazy/complicit media circa 2000-2007.

How much intellect does it take to realize that the hack sent a tape of GWB's "debate prep" to the
Gore campaign to later explain why Gore did better. Then the "RATS" screen in between an ad (if anyone remembers..) etc etc. This was never sophisticated stuff. Grade school really. But then, Dubya and the media dumbed down the entire country. Before Rove, the consensus was that the country was "moderate." Now its so partisan that Romney has to run to the right to win in the general.

I wonder what this Country and world would be like without Rove, Nixon, Atwater, Reagan, Ailes, Murdock, Bush, and the Kock Brothers. Just 9 people....

Cripple them for the next election cycle. Make KKKarl Rove the least popular man in republican politics.

Its time to destroy the modern day republican party before they destroy America.
