Hortensis
(58,785 posts)safely anonymous political messages no matter what happens. If they turn out to be effective, those results become far larger than the irritation. If they .don't make any difference, though, it's all just nothing but...noise.
Meanwhile, in offices, planning meetings, on phone banks, knocking on doors, organizing precincts, hosting meetings, and many other tasks are many, many people also working for change, but with the manners that almost always accompany competence.

(18,998 posts)When the leader fucks you over in favor of the moneyed elite?
Well perhaps you are right, but there comes a time when manners are less important than actions to bring about change...it's called a revolution and manners are secondary to it.

Let them keep using it.

Bernie supporters are a "swarm?" That's pretty rude and dismissive
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Sat Jan 30, 2016, 12:34 PM, and the Jury voted 1-6 to LEAVE IT.
Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: That's light compared to the insults being exchanged here, and our " Swarm " should be more tolerant of their frustration .
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: FFS don't waste my time with this nonsense
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: You have GOT to be kidding. You can find that term all over the board in reference to Hillary supporters.
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Pretty mild considering the current level of discourse on DU.
Juror #5 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Wine? I'll have some chardonnay and a nice slice of gouda. Thank you.
Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

(7,830 posts)The recent Hillary debacle answered so many questions in one instance. It proved beyond a reasonable doubt as to why there was no single payer option during the OBAMAcare dialogue.
Why Bush never left, why we still have Reaganism dictating our future.
Why we are still incarcerating blacks for corporate slavery.
As a progressive I can now say with confidence that Democrat is just repug lite. Thanks you Nancy for saving me thousands in donations. I will stop donating to all democrats except Bernie. I am leaving the Democrat party until shills like Nancy, DWS and queen hillary are gone!

Another good one~
Equal "Pay" for equal work? Whatever. You no longer have any credibility with me. I am an RN in Michigan with no access to healthcare insurance from my hospital employer due to my contingent status despite the hours I work, who cannot afford both a premium as well as a $12K deductible via the Marketplace. And unlucky for you, the largest Nurses United in the country is in California. The Democratic party does not support raising taxes? Are you kidding me? Congress bailed out the automakers who are reporting billions of dollars in profits while Flint MI doesn't have safe drinking water & I effectively continue to have no access to healthcare. You are part of the problem...and no longer will be included in my vision of the solution.
Oh yes, I am in law school and planning to practice in California. You just gave me another reason to move to your State.

Pushing an Independent candidate against a Democratic Candidate is 100% against the DU TOS:
Winning elections is important therefore, advocating in favor of Republican nominees or in favor of third-party spoiler candidates that could split the vote and throw an election to our conservative opponents is never permitted on Democratic Underground.

(5,761 posts)Literally. People are fed up and fired up! They are laying in waste and sick of the system and you know what, it's on both sides. People are sick and tired of how corporations are paid lip service while they are forgotten about. They're sick & tired of Democrats acting like Republicans and one such example is this http://www.dailykos.com/story/2014/1/29/1273428/-These-89-Democrats-Voted-to-Cut-8-7-Billion-from-Food-Stamps whose list happens to include who? There is some real passion out there.
I don't think it's nearly as strong as Obama's but Hillary 2016 does not feel nearly as strong or passionate as Hillary 2008
