(22,271 posts)California here. Hearing from people coming back to California after canvassing Iowa for Bernie. Everyone is saying how nice the Iowans treated them and how beautiful the surroundings were, especially those who were in the rural areas.

We're in a small town and I'm expecting an interesting night.
There is a hard core Hillary cohort, but many of these very people turned a lot of people off in '08 with how nasty they were to those supporting other candidates. We don't generally have a lot of younger people attending.
Just remember, any one of our candidates is far superior to any of the clowns the other side has up, so no matter how the primary season turns out, we have the better candidate, be it Bernie (my personal choice), Hillary, or O'Malley.
I'm just glad that the million and seven pollsters, robocalls, and survey people will stop calling after today.

(16,110 posts)If it is someone I know, I answer.
If it is a number I don't know, I figure they will leave a message if they really need to convey some information or ask me something.
It gets really old after a while, we've had all of them, both sides here since this time last year and even before.
The good thing is that I've been able to get into small venues to see all three Dem. candidates speak.
Still, I miss having a primary, since I don't think the caucuses really are representative of the population as a whole.

(581 posts)Hillary signs everywhere. Guess we know who the local Dem establishment wants to win.
So it does look like a larger turnout? Do you think it's enough TacoD?

(581 posts)Hillary 220
Bernie 172
O'Malley 12
Uncommitted 12
O'Malley is below the viability threshold and so supporters have to go to Bernie or Hillary.
Looks like Hillary will pull this off Even if all 24 O'Malley supporters and undecideds side with Bernie.

(581 posts)Hillary ended up with slightly more supporters than Bernie, but it was close enough so that both got an equal share of delegates (4 each). So practically speaking, it was a tie.

(18,470 posts)We had I believe about 103 people here, excluding visitors or journalists.
HRC had a small lead over Sanders in our precinct , we're sending three delegates for Clinton and two for Sanders to county convention on March 12.
I think we had about half a dozen O'Malley people and half a dozen undecided. Sanders gained five of those to have 48, the others went to Clinton.
