(22,913 posts)...sometimes because they aren't - because people who threaten the status quo rarely are allowed to get to a position where they have to be taken seriously. Bernie Sanders is the exception - he made it into the U.S. Senate uncorrupted - and now he has a strong national movement behind him. A chance like this is rare, it would be sad indeed if we didn't seize it.
