2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumWow you'd think based on the three Hillary supporters on Andrea Mitchell just now
That it was over for Bernie. Best part was explaining the enthusiasm gap as not enough to overcome Hillary's ground game. My thought was just how do you expect the ground game to function without enthusiasm. The media is doing everything in their power to poopoo Bernie. That's when you know he's doing something truly good.

(4,387 posts)...better be careful with that overconfidence. Wouldn't weather concerns also tend to affect older people more than younger? It's a weird strategy either way.

(4,775 posts)The MSM, sadly, still has the living rooms of a large segment of the population, so I wouldn't discount their influence.

Enthusiasm- Hoping the youngsters show up. Hoping their concentration in a few small areas still manages to yield enough delegates.

(10,751 posts)...I wouldn't assume they are just "hoping the youngsters show up."
We'll know soon enough.

(19,926 posts)Hope? No, Bernie's campaign is not about hope. It's about revolution.

And good for Bernie for arranging his own, backup tabulation. This will be the only way to go in future election cycles, no doubt about it.

(41,144 posts)broadcast that's all some people and some areas receive. Or can afford. There are communities that only get Fox, that's it. Fox is also free unlike MSNBC, though it's almost totally conservative now.

(22,145 posts)supporters say, "It looks pretty bad for us. We have to hope our new voters show up?"
Hillary probably has the better ground game in all states.

(19,326 posts)you guessed it, Hillary Clinton.
His rationale was laughable, that "voting for Bernie would be like voting for Ralph Nader" i.e. for a 'spoiler'
candidate
You'd think they'd at least have the guy say something 1/2-way intelligent as his reason.

If you know the job and you know the stakes, you do the job because you know what needs to be done. Your doing your job isn't dependent on your personal enthusiasm for the job.

And I have ocean front property in Arizona for sale. What a total load of horseshit. Whoever came up with that whopper ought to be fired.
Hillary doesn't attract Bernie's numbers because there's little enthusiasm for a status quo, go along to get along politician this election cycle. The establishment pundits are full of crap.

Oh that's right...she has had NONE of those...those were all for Bernie!
The corrupt and lying media...the scared shitless Entrenched Elite Establishment...it's gone into BLATANT lie mode...and they're bad at it.
I would love to see how bad MSNBC's ratings and viewership have gotten. Hell, they would just lie about those numbers as well.
Go Go Bernie!
