I'm a Bernie supporter and I have a lot of concerns about Clinton as the standard-bearer for the Democratic party. But I don't think anybody can predict how this is going to play out. And Clinton is nothing if not resilient. When you think about the continuous onslaught of s&it she has put up with since arriving on the national scene, she has not wilted.

Phony? Yeah, kind of. But she's smooth. She doesn't stutter, she doesn't hesitate, she responds. And what politician isn't phony? Seriously, which one. (Okay, Bernie. But he's pretty exceptional and ... who knows? Maybe he's "phony," too. He just happens to eloquently capture values I happen to share.)

I was very disappointed in her husband's presidency for many reasons (NAFTA, welfare "reform", mass incarceration); but the man knows politics and plays it hard and I think she does, too. And we need a few of those.
