2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI feel badly for Governor O'Malley
And particularly for his supporters here, who have advocated for him.
With 49% tallied, he has .05%.
I think he deserved better.

I do foresee great things ahead for him. His message has gotten through and he's got time to parlay that into big things.

(28,749 posts)I really do like all three candidates.
If Clinton and Sanders were not running in this cycle he would have been my top choice, even so that I would have campaigned for him.

(50,254 posts)That .05% is the vote he had after the later fan-outs.
It's likely that most of his supporters moved on to the district convention level by fanning out for HRC or Bernie in later fan-outs, and will fan out later for O'Malley at those levels.
He might get two or three national convention delegates after it has all shaken out.

(5,506 posts)Still my 2nd choice. He has a bright future ahead, I'm sure. This campaign has been an introductory campaign. He is still a relatively young man, watch out for him in 2024!
But I've been a Bernie fan for 25 yrs, even though I've always lived in The South. I became acquainted w/him via CSPAN when he ws mayor of Burlington & then in the Senate. A man of respect & substance.
