I don't think tonight was what decided it as much as the fact that there were polls showing he was only getting 5% in Maryland.

O'Malley is a good guy, he has a future, but you can't really take a single-digit showing in your home state and still be viable in any future election.

It will be interesting to see if he has a "ghost candidate" presence like Dean had in '04.

He's still a young man for politics. I hate to see him have to drop out already, but he just wasn't getting any traction or attention this time around. Hate it for his supporters here, they've been great advocates for him.
