2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumWhy the hell would Hillary declare victory in a race this close?
With this many votes outstanding? This is going to make her the fucking laughingstock. And also, really slimey for using that kind of tactic.
Lame.

(14,915 posts)....this puts her right back to looking like she thinks she in inevitable. That's something she has tried to shake off for a year now.

(26,549 posts)But this is about the narrative over the next week before NH. It's meaningless at the convention, but it could effect every primary after this.

(50,254 posts)Her campaign may think that if they create the impression at this point that she won, whether or not she actually did, that it will help her in Nevada, Co, and Super Tuesday(they've probably conceded NH at this point).

(14,915 posts)....if she ends up being wrong, is going to be stronger.

(1,464 posts)And if Sanders ends up winning in the end, she can still say Sanders fell short of expectations.
It's the same BS she tried over and over again in 2008 against Obama. My personal favorite was when she claimed victory in Nevada and it turns out Obama won more delegates than her because her team was full of morons who didn't understand that the nomination was about delegates and not popular vote.

(6,073 posts)There were 6 super-delegates committed to her out of 52 total. Bernie would have to get all 7 remaining to beat her.
