2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumHillary needed to take a page out of Obama's book tonight.
When Obama lost in NH, he gave one of the most uplifting and inspiring speeches ever. It, more than winning Iowa, was the key to his nomination. He showed himself to be presidential. Hillary had many moments to rise above in 2008 and whiffed on every single one of them.
Looks like she is doing the same thing tonight. She is making herself look small and petty and she can't unite the party like that.
Here's Obama's amazing speech:

OP
Yep, nothing will beat 2008 for me. It was a charmed race where my guy finally won.

I remember tuning in to hear his speeches after each contest

(1,464 posts)6. I am trying to imagine Hillary giving that speech in front of 200,000 in Berlin and just can't.
He had 200,000 cheering and sobbing listening to him. Hillary could never inspire like that.
