Coin flip? Are you fucking kidding me?

Several countie' delegates were decided by a coin flip?

Really?

I think this whole coin flip scenario is wholly archaic and an embarrassment to Iowa Democrats generally. The coin flip is useless and gives a serious caucus the air of NFL football game _ and I didn't see any skimpily clad cheerleaders.

No, the accepted method id Democratic politics for deciding a tie - and I believe West Wing will bear me out on this - is

ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS!

MSNBC: I think Lawrence should weigh in on this. His analysis would send Matthews home in a snitt.

And it was for delegates to the state convention, not to the national. Nothing nefarious happening.

Especially if you have to do it seven freaking times...

It seems to me the tied precincts should remain tied until everything is counted and then split down the middle. If you've got an odd number then flip for that last delegated, but otherwise
