http://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/news/elections/presidential/caucus/2016/02/02/iowa-caucus-coin-flip-count-unknown/79708740/In an unknown number of Iowa Democratic caucus precincts Monday, a county delegate was awarded after the flip of a coin.
Why is the number unknown? Because officials who reported county delegate totals without using the party's smartphone app weren't required to signify if the win was the result of a coin toss, said Sam Lau, a spokesman for the Iowa Democratic Party.
Lau said seven coin flips were reported statewide, and Bernie Sanders won six of them.

(24,396 posts)So, it now looks like BERNIE is the one who benefited from the coin tosses...and he still lost.
Dear Bernie supporters: what do you make of that? Are you going to continue to be vehement about these coin tosses if Bernie was the actual beneficiary, not Hillary?

(4,975 posts)... Highly unlikely the coin flips had an impact on the caucuses final outcome, said Norm Sterzenbach, a former executive director of the party who said he would have caucused for Hillary Clinton had he not been occupied with other political responsibilities.

(46,416 posts)that precinct results were "missing", supposedly some precincts had no one in charge, some had no results reported and they all just went home, some recounting of heads weren't conducted when they were supposed to be and participants left in the middle, now they refuse to do any sort of recount...coin flips which they INSIST had no bearing on anything, oh and by the way Bernie won coin flips too!...the whole thing is fucked up and there appears to be no way to audit the results to ensure fairness. Why were the Repubs competent in IA and the Dems had their heads up their asses? As you say, incompetent or corrupt?

(42,862 posts)This coingate thing will continue as long as the "believers" think they can get mileage and attention out of it. (Or for as long as they that it's something that can be used to annoy Hillary supporters.)
I think it's pretty hysterical myself. It does no good to argue ... just laugh, click "trash" or click "ignore" and move on.
Super Tuesday is closer than you think, and before long this will all be a memory. (Remember when you thought that Iowa caucus day would never arrive? Well now it's come an gone... whoosh... just like that! Super Tuesday will be here just as quickly!)
Hang in there!
