http://www.nolandalla.com/i-just-got-push-polled-by-hillary-clintons-nevada-campaign/"INTERVIEWER: (getting flustered and now trapped on a call she cant wait to end) How likely are you to still caucus (she gets it right finally) for Bernie Sanders if you knew he blocked immigration reform six times as a U.S. Senator?
ME: What are you talking about?
INTERVIEWER: It says here he voted six times against immigration reform. Thats all Im supposed to say.
ME: You are a disgrace to politics and to progressives. Do you see what you are doing? You are trying to frighten Latino voters and completely misrepresenting the Sanderss voting record. Do you realize that? Do you know what you are doing? Nevada has lots of Hispanics and you are push polling a question designed to scare Latinos about Sanders. Isnt that right? Admit it.
INTERVIEWER: <SILENCE SOUND OF RUMPLED PAPERWORK>
ME: I could destroy any one of your arguments in just a couple of seconds .You arent a pollster. You are a fraud. You are a pretender, and Im going to expose you. Whats your name? Tell me your name and who you work for?
[Side Note: By the way, I almost began cursing but decided against going that route. I wanted to keep her on the line for as long as possible, in order to learn more about what was going on.] "

Do you approve the use of deceptive push polling so as to affect election results?

(81,871 posts)Push polling is wrong, but the person receiving the call doesn't have to be so demeaning. It's part of the phenomenon by certain people that has been getting press lately.

(24,979 posts)Indeed, one can be nicer, but the source of the anger is obvious enough. Fact: the offender here is whoever organized this marketing psyop with the intent to use lies in order to influence an election result.

(24,979 posts)and using said low-wage workers as foot soldiers... in a psychological operation aimed at misleading and attacking the interests of other low-wage workers?
Why isn't the Clinton campaign or whatever PAC is financing this outrageous action identifying themselves directly and admitting this is not a scientific poll but a manipulation attempt? That makes them liars, right? Why would they want to win an election on the basis of LIES? What interest do they have besides the belief in the politics supposedly represented by the candidate? Why are they allowed to spend money to manipulate the priocess.
Some are the liars who thought up this marketing psyop, others are the people hired to read a script, but guess who's sent in to call the targets? And that's your answer? Shameful!
Are these questions too difficult for you?

There are hundreds of millions being spent in this election. The money is there.
It just depends on how much they want to keep for their own internal flunkies and family, and how much they want to give to staffers.
