If HRC is going to keep using Kissinger as an "advisor" , she needs to tell us specifically...

1) Which of the following Kissinger actions does she actually still disagree with?

A. Keeping us in fighting in Vietnam for an additional five years after coming into office.
B. Bombing Cambodia.
C. Encouraging war between India and Pakistan.
D. The destabilization of the democratic socialist government of Chile and the brutal military coup which followed.
E. Attempting to resume the bombing of Vietnam two years after we had finally ended combat operations there.
F. Greenlighting the Indonesian invasion of East Timor.

2) Which of those actions represents policy choices she will make an absolute commitment never to repeat?

As SOS, she pretty much ran things at State exactly as Dr. K did.

You can't really see his influence on her as no big deal.

That had nothing to do with 9/11, created a power vacuum and enabled ISIS to form, especially because Baghdadi was in Gitmo, a Hanoi Hilton that existed because of the Iraq War, which she voted for and supported.

Your response is as sick as it comes.

The Cambodian bombing was secret. We don't know it happened. (See the Doonesberry comic strip of that era.)

Take My Breath Away

Watching every motion
In my foolish lover's game

On this endless ocean
Finally lovers know no shame

Turning and returning
To some secret place inside
Watching in slow motion

As you turn around and say
My love
Take my breath away
Take my breath away
Watching I keep waiting
Still anticipating love

Never hesitating
To become the fated ones
Turning and returning

To some secret place inside
Watching in slow motion
As you turn around and say
My love

Take my breath away
Take my breath away
Through the hourglass I saw you
In time you slipped away

When the mirror crashed I called you
And turned to hear you say
If only for today
I am unafraid
Take my breath away
Take my breath away

For me, this is a familiar question. When I walked into the State Department in January 2009, everyone knew that it was a time of dizzying changes, but no one could agree on what they all meant.

Would the economic crisis bring new forms of cooperation or a return to protectionism and discord?

golly only the scions of industry can tell /fawn

Would new technologies do more to help citizens hold leaders accountable or to help dictators keep tabs on dissidents?

mmmm probably not, but who fucking cares, did you see my speaking fees this year?!?

Would rising powers such as China, India and Brazil become global problem-solvers or global spoilers?

spoilers are those countries who dare stand up to the new american century! those liberal r-words can eat cluster bombs.

Would the emerging influence of non-state actors be defined more by the threats from terrorist networks and criminal cartels, or by the contributions of courageous NGOs?

you mean like this courageous NGO? ? ? https://www.clintonfoundation.org/

Would growing global interdependence bring a new sense of solidarity or new sources of strife?

. . but Veterans For Peace is not.

No way in Hades could I EVER back Hillary after she had the gall to actually brag about her ties to that war criminal who kept us in Vietnam for at least four extra years, directly causing huge numbers of both US and Vietnamese unnecessary deaths.

From Slate - "Hillary Clinton boasted in the fifth Democratic presidential debate Thursday night that she is supported by former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, an accused war criminal who oversaw policies that led to the deaths of millions of people."

(Our family hosted two exchange students from Chile, and both of their families suffered at the hands of Henry The K., along with thousands of other Chileans. The K deliberately and with malice destroyed a democracy.

Looks like HRC is just fine with that.)
