This pip squeak and his anti-woman abortion beliefs from the dark ages. Hillary fights for all members of the family.
Why do Republicans seem so misogynistic?
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) promised on Sunday that he would sign an abortion ban as president that provided exceptions for rape even though he preferred for pregnant victims to have their rapists' babies.

(5,946 posts)I think anyone who is not a republican would be preferable, it does not have to be Clinton.

(9,135 posts)I don't buy women voting for women as a rule. I appreciate Albright, but don't agree with her theory about Hell. This is a stupid strategy and shows desperation. I hope they recognize that and put up better arguments.
The big picture is the Christisn Right is not giving up until they get a friendly executive to line up a SCOTUS to overturn Roe v Wade. The other damage done to us is coming from the Republican governors to amend the constitution with a "Balanced Budget" amendment is a real concern. That would be a Bernie backlash pitting his views against "fiscal responsibility." Plus the country's most wealthy activists in the GOP have a real shot to take control of our energy policies. We all know what that means.
Most people are angry, but they don't want higher taxes. And most voters by far don't think about any form of college education - short-sighted as that may be. And I suspect Putin and Bibi will loom large come October. A "Hawk" would be the better option given the current state of Iraq, Liberia and Syria. Hillary knows the value of diplomacy and has been practicing it. Think any Republican does?
Just imagine the attack ads against Bernie - Fear based and out for blood. Imagine the Hillary attack ads - the same redundant ads. Now imagine the attack ads for every Democrat running for Congress - which is what Bernie needs to get anything accomplished.
Imagine the Supreme Court at this time of misogyny and Islamophobia.
That is what is at stake.

(12,081 posts)Medicare for All, stricter regulations and higher taxes for Wall Street. Also Republicans have already tried the communist or socialist tag on Obama. It didn't work then. It won't work now. Also Americans don't care if Bernie is Jewish. Bernie will support female reproductive rights. He will also support other women's rights. Economic issues that affect their families such as family leave and Medicare for All are women's issues and women do vote on economic issues that affect their families. Women don't only vote on reproductive rights.

(13,685 posts)That should help put to sleep that tortured argument, but I have this feeling it will take more than that.

Is your insinuation that Bernie is pro-rape baby or something? Get a grip.

(14,626 posts)He has a strong history of being pro-choice. Plus Bernie is the most authentic candidate in terms of shaping our country and our economy to work for the 99%, not just for the 1%.

(9,135 posts)Say Bernie wins the nomination and then becomes POTUS. The GOP will only be more hardline meaning he could accomplish nothing at all. So how do you win back the Congress in 2018?

<snip>
In Iowa this week, women 29 and younger voted for Clintons challenger, Sen. Bernie Sanders, by a stunning margin of roughly 6 to 1, much as young men did, according to the poll of voters arriving at precinct caucuses conducted for the television networks and the Associated Press.
In advance of Tuesdays New Hampshire primary, polls have shown Sanders holding the support of a majority of young women here, as well a sharp contrast to Clintons dominance among women closer to her own age.
The problem is not rejection of feminism surveys suggest millennial women are the most staunchly feminist group of voters in America. They want to see a woman in the White House. Just not necessarily this woman.
