Bernie Sanders is Keeping Martin Luther King's Dream Alive

In the weeks leading up to his assassination, MLK was shifting his focus to the institutional side of racism, namely economic inequality for the "other America." He was in the process of designing his next March on Washington entitled the "Poor People's Campaign" to protest the systemic cycle of poverty in the black community perpetuated by corporate America and the Washington elite. Bernie Sanders, who identifies ascribes himself the same Democratic Socialist label that King did, is bringing King's vision for the future back into the mainstream in this campaign.
