Bernie has his children and grandchildren w/him which increases the secret service detail

as pointed out on Morning Joe by John Heilemann. The secret service has to cover ALL family members.

I believe only the candidates, their spouses and minor children receive protection.

When family members are actually with the candidate, they're folded into the protective "bubble" and that might require more agents, but I don't think they get their own agents or detail.

demands. That's how it should be because it has to be. Whining about security for any public figure pisses me the fuck off. Both Hillary and Bernie and even all of those Republicans should be protected in any way the Secret Service deems necessary. It is their call and theirs alone.
