2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumClinton allies forming group to protect, register voters
This is the entire story:
The new group is called Every Citizen Counts. It's beginning its work as Clinton faces a stronger-than-expected challenge from Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, who won an overwhelming victory in Tuesday's New Hampshire primary. Sanders is hoping to build support among black and Hispanic voters who have been loyal to Clinton.
Organizers say the group will not be involved in the primaries. It will be advised by Guy Cecil, a former Clinton campaign staffer who runs Democratic super PAC Priorities USA Action. Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, a Clinton supporter, is also involved.

(814 posts)I hope they have enough money or boots on the ground to make sure any of the Republican anti-vote measures get sunk. Make no mistake these "voter fraud" measures are just another way to disenfranchise people. It's so transparent that everyone gets what bullshit they are, unless you're a dyed in the wool Republican.
If Republicans CARED about voter fraud they would be getting rid of voting machine and replacing them with paper ballots, plain and simple.

(13,326 posts)This is just a superPAC arm twisting voters into pledging who they are going to vote for. Hillary of course.

(145,321 posts)I am impressed with the organization of the Clinton Victory Counsel program. I have worked on both the Kerry/Edwards and Obama voter protection teams and the Clinton team is better organized.

(55,894 posts)in the form of the Democratic Party is what keeps the infrastructure needed to fight voter suppression intact.
Same with Sanders and his decades of trashing the Democratic Party in its entirety.

(145,321 posts)I work a great deal with both my local party, the surrounding county democratic parties and the state party. The infrastructure of the party organization is critical

(55,894 posts)has blinded you to the real problems facing the REAL base of Democratic voters.
It's White Privilege and points to a major blind spot amongst not just Sanders supporters but the candidate himself.
