Palin Says Brokered Convention Would Not Hurt G.O.P.
By JEFF ZELENY
Sarah Palin said Saturday that Republicans should be in no hurry to wrap up the presidential nominating contest, declaring that a competitive campaign until the August convention in Tampa would not complicate the partys efforts to defeat President Obama.
People who start screaming that a brokered convention is the worst thing that could happen to the G.O.P., they have an agenda, Ms. Palin said in an interview. They have their own personal or political reasons, their own candidate who they would like to see protected away from a brokered convention.
She added: Thats part of competition, part of the process and it may happen.
Ms. Palin, who arrived here to deliver a speech to the Conservative Political Action Conference, said that she was enjoying watching the newly-competitive Republican presidential primary. She said the campaign has made Mitt Romney and his rivals stronger candidates.

(45,525 posts)She wants it handed to her.
I think her popularity is about as low as the dirt on the ground with just a few die hard supporters. She has always talked nonsense and this is just more of the same.
I doubt she even knows what a brokered convention is.

You shouldn't underestimate the stupidity levels of the average GOP voter.
Even though she has demonstrated on multiple occasions just how ignorant and stupid, she herself is. A fair number of Gopbots still follow.

(36,437 posts)Would be the day Obama should announce that he will not campaign at all, and disburse all campaign funds to regional charities. He should simply say: "You have a choice." End of story. And not run a single ad or make a single campaign appearance.
And he'd win in a landslide.

There is gonna be some SERIOUS horse trading done in smoke filled rooms in the period leading up to Tampa in August.
It would be better for Obama if one candidate does not have a significant lead.
Then it might get a bit messy for GOP (sic)
