Anybody have any thoughts about Romney's new "Trickle-Down Government" meme?

He used it several times during the debate and I don't think that I've ever heard it used by him or anybody else before. Effective? Ineffective/forgettable? It left a sour taste in my mouth but then so do all right-wing "buzzwords". Could inadvertently remind people of the failure that is "Trickle-down economics" but I'm not sure. Anybody hearing any Republicans/wingers using this today?

Private Sector "Trickle Down": Tax-cuts slanted for corporations and the rich and de-regulation brought us a declining wages, the Savings and Loan Crisis, and the 2008 Banking Crisis. It has not stimulated the economy, except in China and India.

Public Sector "Trickle Down" Regulating capitalism and using the government for stimulus and to provide a social safety-net brought us out of the Depression, radically decreased poverty, and kept us out of a depression in the wake of the 2008 Banking Crisis.

So, which outcome do you want?

a case for "trickle down economics" over some conservative sense of "trickle down government", i.e. government shouldn't play a role in improving conditions for all, especially those most in need of a leg up.

I thought it was particularly condescending and represents an anti-government approach to running for a government office mind-set popular with the right wing.
