2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumIs the Clinton Campaign Panicking Over Nevada?
So why the dickens would he (Fallon) say incorrectly that Nevadas voters are 80 percent white in a state thats sparsely polled but when it is polled shows her well into the clear? This has been considered her Western firewall for some time. Is it still?
It could be that the Clinton team does still expect to win Nevada but is trying to portray it as an open contest so it can pretend to be shocked when it wins and ride a comeback narrative from there. (Politics is so stupid.) Or the Clinton team is lowering expectationseh, its just a bunch of silly white people out there in Nevada, you know how they can bebecause it really does see in its internal polling a close contest.
We will presumably see more polling data coming out of Nevada soon. As with most caucus states, the polling can be inaccurate because of the convoluted process in which organization is so critical.
One recent poll we do have, that Im going to write about with some extreme caveats, does indeed show a Clinton-Sanders tie in Nevada at 45 percent apiece. Now look: It was commissioned by the Washington Free Beacon, a conservative publication that exists largely to terrorize Hillary Clinton. The poll was conducted by TargetPoint Consulting, a conservative firm stocked with Republican operatives whose clients in 2012 included Mitt Romneys presidential campaign, Mitt Romneys super PAC, and Karl Roves super PAC. This is either a solid poll or its a well-conducted effort to stoke the Clinton in disarray! narrative swirling around the Clinton campaign following New Hampshire.

(29,098 posts)I heard Barbara Boxer defending the Kissinger connection on CNN. John Lewis was dragged out to cover her butt and Little Debbie changed the money rules without a great deal of discussion. They even had Jay Carney drop the Obama supports Clinton line as an Oooooopsie. I've been a party loyalist for years and frankly it's getting really shameful and beyond the scope of politics as usual during a primary. I'm glad I live in a very Blue state and my vote in the general won't mean much...because at this rate if she does get the nomination I'm not sure there is a big enough clothespin to hold my nose to vote for her. And although I am a Bernie supporter I was a Blue no matter who voter .....

(154,021 posts)they are indeed panicking. I expect a lot, and I mean this... A LOT MORE DIRTY TRICKS. Anytime a campaign does that, something is off internally.
