They've already alienated the young, and a lot of the older ones aren't too crazy about her.

She does have slightly more women on her side, but I don't think it's a straightforward man vs woman.

I'm white, so I won't pretend to speak for persons of color, but I see her strategy as divisive, not uniting.

Just my take.
