Why doesn't Bernie call HRC on the term 'pragmatic' progressive? That truly means "compromising"

to get things done. If you start out willing to compromise (as has Obama) we end up with inferior results. I want someone who will fight for the best possible outcome! That would be Bernie Sanders.

They used to just call it "third way".

I think Bernie calls HRC on this at every moment of every public speech and interview he gives. That's why he's winning.

Progressive or Moderate. Qualifying the term Progressive with Pragmatic is what I think shows her willingness to capitulate to big interests.

IMHO if he called her out on that term it would show her true allegiances..

Because it will take a few term od sustained action. Too pragmatic to discuss a plan?

We must fight for what's right because it is moral imperative to. That's the core message and sticking with it is the best approach.

He's defining the terms of the debate. He's no idiot. He's a pragmatist too. He'll take incremental steps if that's what it takes to get there... He's just steadfast on what the ultimate goals are. And he's clearer on the reasons we must fight to get there.

right course and do what is necessary. It just seems to me that Clinton is already selling us short (and protecting her donors) by lowering expectations from the start by calling herself 'pragmatic'.

I appreciate your input - it all makes perfect sense!

... it puts her at odds with Obama's 2008 slogan "Yes We Can." When she accuses Bernie of being impractical, she's basically saying "No We Can't." Not particularly effective or inspirational. I think her campaign recognizes this. She shifted her approach in the debate. She tried to make it an issue of "honesty," and did it effectively. ("You need to level with the American people...&quot . The "dishonest" theme is a tough one to respond to without taking the bait and becoming defensive.

I, too, want someone who will fight for change and who fosters that desire in the people.
