(14,733 posts)I would have been pretty certain that Bernie supporters are concerned about voting rights. After all, they WANT more voters out. The more voters, the better Bernie does. Shrug. If Team Hillary got the same treatment, fine. If not, looks like the Rev has decided he has more of a shot playing by the Establishment rules.

RALEIGH On Saturday, February 13th the NC NAACP and Forward Together Moral Movement will convene people from across the state, the nation and the political spectrum to participate in the 10th Annual Moral March on Raleigh and HKonJ People's Assembly. Many campaigns have reached out to the NC NAACP to discuss their participation in the non-partisan Moral March and GOTV Rally. It is necessary to emphasize that Saturday's event will welcome all who are concerned about the moral state of our politics, to hear directly from people who have been harmed by extremist policies. It will not be a political campaign for any candidate or party. The purpose of the Moral March will be to empower all who are present to organize and mobilize for active engagement in the voting process. Participants are being asked to bring signs and placards advocating for voting rights. The formation of a fusion coalition that is diverse in age, political affiliation, race, gender, religion, education, economic status, etc., is necessary to place a moral lens at the center of our democracy. The aim is not to achieve an electoral moment but to build an anti-racism, anti-poverty, anti-discrimination, pro-justice, pro-labor, pro-education movement that is rooted in the love of self and others for the good of the whole.
