but the daily caller. I won't link. Just type Jesse Jackson and Bernie Sanders into your search engine. Jackson did an interesting interview with the daily caller.

(114,904 posts)want to hear that they're pushing Bernie because they'd rather a repub ran against him than Hillary. That may be true, but so what? I don't happen to think Tucker Carlson is the sharpest tool in the shed. More interesting to me is how seemingly irrelevant Jackson has become in the new civil rights movement of today.

(11,366 posts)I'm willing to guess Malcolm X would not have like some of the more pro-corporate Obama hires. Hell, a whole city doesn't like one of them (Hint: Chicago).

I don't care, though. Here's some quotes:
Bernie was fighting back in Chicago not in the deep-south in affordable housing struggles in Chicago. The movement was so broad based. There were civil rights leaders in Chicago, Rev. Jackson said, confirming it might be too quick to dismiss Sanders activist background.
Jackson, along with Georgia Democrat Rep. John Lewis , both considered prominent figures in the 1960s civil rights movement, told TheDC he has enough room in [his] heart to respect John and Bernie, despite Lewis accusation that he never saw Sanders at civil rights events at the time.

He added, [Their endorsement] is based on their interests My focus has been based on voter registration and issue development. Thats what Im focused on.

(3,533 posts)hasn't publicly stated he didn't see or meet Bernie in the 60's.
Maybe he has a different perspective of the movement.

(5,614 posts)Maybe because the MSM doesn't want to hear some internationally recognised figure from the Civil Rights movement say something positive about Sanders.
If you were a reporter, unlike John Capehart, wouldn't you at least look Jesse up?
Its not like he was a world famous photographer or something.
