Clinton is wrong about her Obama strategy

We have all seen the Clinton strategy of basically running on 3rd term of Obama given his popularity overall especially with Dem voters. Politically this is wrong strategy as she fundamentally misunderands the voters.

I'm disappointed in Obama. While he had made progress in major areas he has let me down. Fundamentally he has not changed Washington but worse it was never his intent. Despite this, it is very hard for me to hate him (if polled I would say favorable opinion of him). I like him and have huge sympathy for what he has dealt with for past 8 years. I'm at the point I can't bare to even listen for 5 secs the BS politicians spew, but with Obama I always listen and feel better about him afterward even if my scepticism creeps back in later.

I think this the case with most other voters. They like Obama. They defend Obama. BUT that does not mean they like the status quo and would like to replicate the last 8 years. Fundamentally people are on edge and anxious about their future, and running on the past is not winning strategy for Clinton.

Right now she is desperately trying to hold on to black voters. She isn't going to say anything that might alienate them and she knows they love Obama. Consequently, he is now her BFF ands kisses his ass regularly on the campaign trail.

After (if) she gets the nomination, where else are black voters going to go? They sure as hell won't vote for Trump or any other republican. But she sorely needs the votes of independent voters to get elected. A lot of those independent voters are white and not all that enamored of Obama. So you will notice a subtle (maybe not too subtle) shift in her campaign rhetoric and Obama will quickly disappear under the bus.

For even AA voters. Saying I'll continue Obama policies is not that appealing. The best part of Obama administration is Obama and she is no Obama.

I agree with you about general. I expect her to move away from Obama and become moderate again.
