We have a Democrat in office now and are having to contend with the notion he won't be able to name a replacement and get them through in 11 months time.

Do we really think that Republicans would face that issue if the situations were reversed?

If anything this whole thing just depresses me and reminds me of how neutered we've become as a political party.
