If a Democrat wins there's a chance he/she could appoint 3.

Or face a more conservative supreme court agenda than the one that exists at the moment. The Supreme Court has had an extremely conservative tilt for the last decade. This 2016 election can change that if a Democratic Presidential nominee wins.

If an (R) wins they might both retire before his first term is over.

These older conservative justices have been hanging on just to try and see another (R) President. Scalia's death will get them thinking about being retired a few years before passing on.

BTW. I think Ginsberg gets to decide when she retires. It is not up to us.

BUTTTTTTT.....

With Scalia gone, if I had some assurance Hillary would appoint a young able bodied lefty, I think I can forgive any misgivings I have towards the Lady. Still firmly in the Sanders camp, but now MUCH more solidly going to vote straight democrat come election time.

Rest in Peace Mr. Scalia, may the Heavens take you. Now with that out of the way, WE NEED THAT SEAT!

With a vacancy by a conservative justice created there's no way Obama is going to get 2 Supreme Court nominations in before his term ends.

Justice Ginsberg should stay put for now, and see her doctors regularly and follow their advise.

Justice Scalia obviously had some kind of a health problem, and obviously didn't see his doctors/listen to them enough. For her own good Ginsberg should try to avoid having the same fate of a sudden death that doctors/a hospital might have prevented if she had received treatment.
