Does anyone think

there is an unspoken expectation for Biden to hold back and go easy on Ryan, like there was for Palin, due to their age difference, and that Biden is a more experienced debater?

I hope not. There is great opportunity for Biden to expose Ryan's extreme views and lies.

Regarding the debate, no, it wasn't the President's finest hour, but it's no cause for extreme panic. I don't know whether President Obama's performance the other night was deliberate (I doubt it), but he is not the type to make the same mistake twice. I am willing bet the next debate will be much different. All the media outlets fawning over Romney obviously value acting ability over the truth.

He's human; anyone can have a bad day (or night!) He is President, and dealing with a full plate, unlike Romney, who had untold hours to practice how to deliver lies like an uncaged animal with a caffeine problem.

As a former Republican, I can tell you there is nothing they like better than to see panic and hand-wringing and infighting among Dems. Pull together, donate, have each other's backs (and the Presidents!!), GOTV, and let's spend these last weeks making sure the Disastrous Duo doesn't get elected.

His job, IMHO, is to lay out the case that Ryan and especially Romney will say or do anything to get elected. Especially in Ryan's case, Biden should explain to the public that he is an extreme conservative, and that Romney especially is a shape shifter.

I think that Obama's team knows this and Biden certainly does also - the big question is, can Biden deliver?

After the last debate no one will attack Biden for being a bully. He will shove Lyin' Ryan face into the pile Bull shit known as Ryan's medicare plan. He will pull back the curtain on Ryan's plan for vouchers that seniors will have to use to get private Ins. He will gut the belly of the tea-baggers tax plan. Then Biden will tie the whole carcass of Ryan's budget so tightly around Mitt's neck that Romoney will be left hanging from his own lies.

I forget how that debate went, but I think he came out very well. Now all I remember is "Can I call you Joe?" and how she was not going to answer the questions but talk directly to the American people. Of course she was such a nut that not much had to be done but let her hang herself.

This may be different but I don't think being younger man helps PLyan that much - Biden can attack him without looking the bully.

line in, which she did.

I love to watch Biden debate; he is funny as hell...but we need some serious knock-out blows. I am unfamiliar with Ryan's debate style, or how much experience he has.

Mittwit decided to pretend he was not as far to the right. Lyan may not do that. That would upset the base that likes Lyan.
