that weasel guy, Paul Ryan. I am pretty sure Paul thinks he is ready for this. I am just betting that they are thinking it will be a repeat of last Wednesday. Uh, no.

The hammer will be just to stun the little fink into submission. I am willing to wager that Joe is sharpening his knives right now and Paulie won't know what happened to his legs (or other parts of his anatomy) when this is over. Singing soprano in the choir, are ya?

I believe Joe Biden is coming from the corner of honesty and goodness; positive force is stronger than negative force and that is what Ryan represents.

Please, God, I pray: let the light of Joe Biden's good soul blind the demon Ryan. Amen.

10. I think Ryan is going to pull a Romney at the debate

I'm sure he's being prepped as we speak. While Biden is prepping for the Ryan we all know and hate Ryan is prepping for something altogether new. In their eyes the Gish think was a winner. Biden might be able to point it out, but since he won't be prepared for the barrage of lies and swerves and feints that Ryan will have memorized by then, people on DU will be attacking Biden after the debate.

I'll be one who will not attack Biden. But I will defend him.

Even if Ryan pulls a Romney. A vice-president normally can be more forthright and blunt than the president could ever be. Worked with Cheney, and it does work with Joe. Plus I think Joe and Mr. Ryan had some working relationship when Joe was the senator for Delaware. That will be easier to speak to.

LIE HIS ASS OFF WITH EVERY BREATH, and Biden will be
ready for it, as ready as ready can be when jousting with a
lying psychopath.

an aggressive and effective debater. He can get goofy at times but I think in the debates he is even better than Obama most of the times I've seen him. I listened to him in the primaries in 2008 and was impressed although I chose Hillary and was disappointed when she didn't win the nomination. I think he will do well and bring up some of the points Obama couldn't because he was so blindsided with lies from Romney.

16. OP, I was here the day before the Obama-Romney debate
Sat Oct 6, 2012, 06:39 PM

I asked whether Obama had studied the Ted Kennedy debate and realized the way he needs to put Romney down is by doing what Ted did and by calling him out for the pathological liar he is. I was told not to worry and that Obama would mop the floor with Romney. Look what happened.

While I think Joe will do okay against Ryan, and I hope for him to do better than okay and beat him, we need to not get overconfident again.

Ryan is a pathological liar just like Romney - he even lied about his marathon time.

I hope our camp knows that and is better prepared to take him on.

intimidated.. by anything..and he isn't going to be caught off-guard by ANYTHING Ryan might do or say.

It will be different. I'm pretty confident about that Biden won't back off OR back down.

After all those years in the Senate, he also knows a lot on these guys that he may not expose, but give enough of a hint to take the wind out of Ryan's sails. Someone sure needs to.

On top of that, Ryan is campaigning for his other job along with the presidential campaign. He may be in good shape, but not to be juggling 2 campaigns and studying up on the "facts" as well. I suppose he could forget studying on the facts, as they make their own up as they go.

Biden will take the starch out of Ryan with his smile.
