Brunch with Bernie

Hundreds of shows thousands of questions.

I have listened to many of these. He has been asked questions on more topics than any other politician I know of. He answers without evasion and makes direct connection with the questioner.

One thing that I have found most impressive is what he does when hit with a subject that he is not familiar with. He is honest and says that he is interested and will explore. Then later - sometimes months later - the same subject will come up. He is there with an analysis and an opinion.

He is not a one topic candidate. Those that know him best know the wide range of his concerns and interest.

His ideas, concerns, desires, and solutions all come from a thoughtful progressive state of mind.

and gives context to all of his positions on all of the important topics.

That concept is that the game is rigged and everything else flows from that.

she does not answer the questions that she knows are going to be asked and that she has spent hours practicing the answers.

I've listened to Brunch with Bernie for a decade. I feel I 'know' Bernie, and trust him completely. He's on our side, without question.

I knew at the time I was not alone. He mentioned it along with his response that he was contemplating a run, if only to pull Hillary to the left.

I am ecstatic that he decided to run for real!

I just want to thank Thom Hartmann for introducing me to Bernie. I feel as if Bernie is an old friend because I have heard him speak on so many different occasions on such a variety of subjects. So I have been 'feeling the bern" for quite a while.

Actually, the big surprise was how easily he adapted to sudden fame and nonstop travel, rallies, town halls. I saw him talking to huge arenas full of cheering people and wondered, "Is this really our Bernie?" I was nervous for him at first, having had no idea the man could be so versatile and strong. He constantly surprises me.

During the Q&A on Thom Hartmann's show, Bernie was always and invariably respectful, honest, and kind. He listened to people, took their concerns seriously, remembered their names and details, and gave thoughtful answers, even on occasions when he had to say he didn't know. He never "got smart" with silly questions, never ridiculed or talked down to a caller. He showed a special passion for veterans and the post office, such down home universal concerns, reminders that despite our differences, America can still be a large cohesive community, a nice place to live.

As the contest goes on, I'm still amazed. When his opponent pulls a fast one, slips in a lie and a put down, I want to leap up there and protect him. But so far, Bernie does just fine on his own. I'm glad he has Jane.
