Bernie Sanders has what it takes to win, says big brother Larry

Bernie Sanders has what it takes to go all the way in the upcoming US presidential elections, the Democratic candidate’s brother said in an interview to the British media on Sunday.

All he needs to do first is beat fellow Democratic contender Hillary Clinton.

“Getting the Democratic nomination is the hardest part, as he’s up against all her support and money,” Larry Sanders told the Sunday People, a British weekly newspaper. “But he could beat Trump and the other Republicans easily.”

So far, however, things are looking good for Bernie Sanders, a 74-year-old self-described democratic socialist, who finished off well ahead of rival Hillary Clinton in last week’s New Hampshire primary.

His brother is an 81-year-old retired social worker who has lived in Britain since 1969. He is the UK Green Party’s new health spokesman and has also represented them in the past on local councils.
