Listened to NPR news on way to work. News reader claimed 4 WH economists criticize Bernie's plans. WH is in full mode. Goolsbee is one of the four. Others are equally pro free trade.

Republicans (aided by Dems chasing that mushy middle) have managed to pull the perceived center further and further to the right. What would have been a moderate conservative is now considered a leftie and anyone left of center is practically a commie. And now they have no idea what to do with Bernie who actually is on the left.
