I keep reading all this blah blah about how the Republicans are gonna' hit us so hard, ooh it's gonna' hurt, me scared...
As they would say in my neck of the woods, "What kind of punk-asses are you? Why you so skeered?"
We should be reveling in the possibility of being attacked by Republicans, BECAUSE IT GIVES US A CHANCE TO PUNCH BACK!
I don't know about you, but I love punching bullies in the face, and watching them melt.
Their hatred, fear and loathing only fuel me. I hope you feel the same.
If you don't, get ahold of your fear, and quit being so politically limp. Nobody likes a scared punk.

(19,089 posts)It's because of this wishy washy weakness that we wound up with Third Way to begin with ...
Liberalism is a highly successful concept which is worthy of strong promotion and a full throated defense ...
Bernie is up to the task ... DU? Maybe not so much ...
A few people dropping to their knees today ...Full of fear and dread ... That does not move me ....

(5,275 posts)For nearly four years you have had an Administration which instead of twirling its thumbs has rolled up its sleeves. We will keep our sleeves rolled up.
We had to struggle with the old enemies of peace--business and financial monopoly, speculation, reckless banking, class antagonism, sectionalism, war profiteering.
They had begun to consider the Government of the United States as a mere appendage to their own affairs. We know now that Government by organized money is just as dangerous as Government by organized mob.
Never before in all our history have these forces been so united against one candidate as they stand today. They are unanimous in their hate for me--and I welcome their hatred.
I should like to have it said of my first Administration that in it the forces of selfishness and of lust for power met their match. I should like to have it said of my second Administration that in it these forces met their master.

(5,141 posts)how worried everyone is about everything. I'm especially worried about how worried about everything Chelsea is (letting people out of prison and single payer).

(23,730 posts)everything they say is brilliant, bound to defeat their foe for good
then they come out and scream "Sanders hates the Irish" or "jointed buses are racist," fold their arms, and smirk, and everyone just looks at them like they grew a second head
