Prominent Georgia lawmaker flips to Sanders

Cannot be said enough, the second highest ranking Democratic state senator Vincent Fort flipped from Hillary to Sanders, saying:
"After months of looking at Bernie's record and studying his positions on healthcare, Wall Street, predatory lending and the minimum wage, I came to the conclusion that Bernie's position on the issues that affect my constituents in Georgia the most conform most closely to my positions," Fort said.

Momentum is everything. Fundraising, huuugggee events in Nevada and HBCU events and getting critical endorsements and having people like Spike Lee come out to say they are voting for him is a big deal.

We are heading in the right direction but DO. NOT. LET. UP. Fight hard all the way to the convention.
Washington state is for Bernie, how about you?

Does that mean his opinion or endorsement doesn't matter???
So to Hillary supporters, only black politicians who are "Super Delegates" matter?

Nice to know.

You said he wasn't a "SuperDelegate" with no text.

Now, if Sanders was so unpopular, why would flipping to Sanders help him with becoming mayor (of I assume Atlanta) in a state with very diverse demographics?

The answer is it would not. Mr. Fort flipped to Sanders for the actual reasons he stated.

FYI, though it has been several years, I lived in DeKalb and Gwinnett county for awhile, I know the area and people.

I lived in Atlanta 45 years. I know it well. I am from Decatur. ....and I know the area and people very well.

As to my comments about his mayoral chances....I was merely repeating what Kasim Reed, current mayor of Atlanta has said. It seems he's also introduced some legislation recently trying to meddle in Atlanta business in other attempts to promote himself.

I miss Atlanta.....it's a great place to live.....specially when the dogwoods and azaleas are blooming.

You don't think there's a hint of a chance that he agrees with Bernie over Hillary? Outright dismissing that notion is pretty insulting to the guy.

That grand scheme thing is over rated.

Whining the most, that's what really matters. Let's sow discord and discontent!
