Washington (CNN)Likely Democratic caucusgoers in Nevada are split almost evenly between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders ahead of Saturday's caucuses, according to a new CNN/ORC Poll.
Though Clinton holds an edge over Sanders on handling a range of top issues, the results suggest the extremely close race hinges on divided opinions on the economy.
Overall, 48% of likely caucus attendees say they support Clinton, 47% Sanders. Both candidates carry their demographic strong points from prior states into Nevada, with Clinton holding an edge among women, while Sanders tops the former secretary of state among voters under age 55...

(6,120 posts)At first, it was Sanders leading among those under 30, then under 40, 45, and now 55 (and sometimes under 65). Looks like a trend to me.

(26,549 posts)30-45 was lean to Sanders, 45-50 was lean to Clinton, 55+ has always been strong Clinton.
(Ages are approximate, since each poll divides up age groups differently.)

(1,508 posts)WIN in Nevada, I also believe the more the rest of the country gets the opportunity to hear his message and begin to believe that it is better to vote for someone willing to try rather than someone who has said straight forward she won't try to do anything except stay the course, he'll continue to win throughout the nation.

(23,867 posts)In other words, votes by those who are happy with the way the country is working. I'm not buying what I see in the polls. It doesn't feel like an even race, when I look at the passion and enthusiasm of the massive, diverse, crowds at Bernie's rallies.
I just wonder if Hillary will bow out gracefully if and when the time comes. But I digress....
