Polls show opinions, but are not allocated by electorial college votes. the polls are good for TV and for blogs, but what the electorial college votes are what count.

You don't pay much attention to trending threads. In any event, the meaning of my comment is that polls may be an indicator, but they are not laser precise. The debate was a bad night, Romney is a clown, so Obama and we should not be making it easier for him.
