Clinton defended her husband's record and President Obama's record too and suggested that Sanders was unclear about their accomplishments because he was relatively new to the party.
I just don't know where this comes from,' Clinton began. 'Maybe it's because Sen. Sanders wasn't really a Democrat until he decided to run for president.'
'He doesn't even know what the last two Democratic presidents did,' she continued.

(22,308 posts)Bernie was running for office while Carter was President and was in Congress throughout Bill's time in the White House.
How is anyone going to believe that Bernie didn't know what Bill did as President when Bernie was there voting on legislation?
It seems as if she doesn't even care if her lies are believable anymore. She just wants to create an emotional response, kinda like Trump.

(3,190 posts)FFS, any longtime congressperson knows what the last two Dem presidents did, no matter if they are Dem, Ind or Rep...unless they were totally sleeping through their terms.
Hill is so full of crap and just said that to smear Bernie. Her campaign has once again slipped into the sewer.

(6,994 posts)She has right wing advisers writing her scripts for her and Bill well he is of course running for his third term.
So these people are no doubt desperate at the fact of losing Nevada and maybe SC isn't looking as good in their polling as the corporate networks say it is.

Everything Bernie said about Billy boy is true...passed NAFTA which caused 60,000 factories to close and MILLIONS IF LIST JOBS, he repealed Glass-Steagall and he passed WELFARE REFORM which disproportionately hurts poor women and children. Billy OWNS all that.
Go Bernie....kick her arse tomorrow!

(9,385 posts)in the 110th Congress counts for nothing, eh? That's gratitude for ya. But I forgot, nobody counts except Hillary.
Sanders was in the House in 1990 when Poppy Bush was President, 2 years before the Clintons left Arkansas. He voted Dem 98% of the time, which a lot of Dems can't even say. And I'd bet a lot that he knows more than she does about what went on in Congress during the Clinton years, and since then. Maybe more than Bill too.
She just disgusts me. She couldn't be honest if her life depended on it.

(10,274 posts)"I mastered The System as I found it. Sorry for that. But because of that, if it's time to CHANGE that system to something more aligned with the needs and wants of the American people (and the spirit of what this party is supposed to be about) then nobody's more qualified than me to do that, because I know all the games the opposition is going to play to fuck with it and make it not work. Yes I moved right with the rest of the party. No I won't apologize for that. My adaptability is my STRENGTH. I'm Hillary Fucking Clinton you think i got where I am by cowering in the corner? All I want is the chance to PROVE it to you, and I WONT FAIL. If this country doesn't have single payer by 2019, I'll resign and VP Sanders can take over and you can see if he can do better."
Something like that would play a hell of a lot better in this contest than what her corporate paymasters are advising her to do.

The fact that he wanted to primary Obama means to me that he doesn't understand what Obama did or what he had to work against. EXTREME GOP obstructionism. The fact that he thinks he can get any of his revolutionary policies through, proves to me that he doesn't understand what's going on. Oh well.

(2,404 posts)... I'm so disappointed in Hillary. Her comment doesn't even make sense. Are people actually believing this? Does she expect that the electorate to just accept what she is saying?.
These are tactics of a desperate campaign. She would do so much better if she took the high road and let the chips fall where they may. So disappointed.

(1,384 posts)Bernie appears not to know, or at the least doesn't want to acknowledge, the accomplishments of either Clinton or Obama. He only became a Democrat to run for president and is in fact running for his senate seat as an independent! I heard plenty of claps in that audience too. The ones booing were probably Bernie supporters.

(6,936 posts)Truth is different from insinuation without proof. And the easy migration from facts to accepting gossip as factual is what plagues the Democratic Party and its hapless leadership.
