With the improving economy off the table as a campaign issue, Romney walks back Big Bird statement

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/romney-camp-mocks-obama-focus-big-bird-150009937--election.html

"Privately, Romney aides acknowledge they understand why the Obama campaign is playing up the Big Bird line. The campaign's internal numbers showed the line didn't play well with voters, according to one aide, and Romney notably hasn't repeated it since."

We need a database just to keep track of all the things he has said and later unsaid.

anyone can even consider voting for this guy is beyond me.

He has LONG been the most pathetic, say whatever he thinks people want to hear depending on the crowd he is talking to scumbag politician we have seen in our lives.

How can anyone take him seriously?

I think pretty highly of President Obama, but I get that others may not.

I don't get it, but I realize that highly partisan people will geek themselves up into believing he is a dog beating space alien.

I don't get how anyone can actually support or vote for Romney.

I just don't get it.

there are a bunch of low information voters out there
who are just going to vote for him because he's
not the black guy.

What? The economy is definitely not off the table, and we'd be naive to believe that.

The GOP will keep hitting Obama on it every day, and they now see an opening in Ohio with Romney re-tooling his campaign there today to reflect the new NBC poll showing a Tie.

Obama & the DNC need to double their efforts this week and talk about the good Jobs Report every day.

republicans through the "liberal" media get to frame the battle.

From 2001 to 2008, it was all about KEEPING US SAFE!

The economy, the budget, debt, none of that mattered, it was just about how much we needed resolute and tough republicans who knew how to deal with them there terrorists, unlike the weak kneed democrats.

That shit all came to a COMPLETE end the first wednesday in November of 2008, when these meely mouthed scumbags all started screaming, OBAMA OWNS THE ECONOMY!

Now, they get the bad statistical news on unemployment and other economic factors, and there is a tragedy in the ME, and they are trying to go the Jimmy Carter route ...

yep. trying and FAILING.

Romney is seriously out of ammo right about now.

this is gonna get good very very soon as the romney campaign
will be desperately grasping at straws and making things up
out of thin air (the president hasn't signed a free trade agreement, dontcha know?!)

and then found out that people thought that was lame, he would come out today and insist that he had eaten a Meatball Sub. Even if there photos to prove he had the ham.

What a great candidate he is.

It is beyond me how anyone can support this man. He does not keep the same position on anything for more than 12 hours. Guess the old saying about if you don't like today's Romney, just wait for tomorrow's version because it will be totally different ....is true.

Can anyone name one thing that this man has taken as his position that has not been changed, morphed and mangled into something new and different and usually OPPOSITE to the one he endorsed first???? I mean...... Other than he thinks he is the right guy for the job and Obama is not.
