Columbus NBC Poll: Ohio Statistical Deadheat (Obama 45, Romney 44)

An Ohio Poll shows Romney pulling near even with Obama

Obama 45

Romney 44

---------

It definitely looks like Obama took a hit in Ohio. Hopefully he will re-bound. This was one of his best states all year, and now Romney has an opening for the first time.

Everyone has to work hard and no more taking things for granted!

The Obama Debate Disaster will long be analyzed as the bellwhether for how not to handle a debate. I also think that debate coaches can look for increased fees as they're employed to make sure something like this never happens again.

going from Obama to undecided and that if he can reassure these folks in the next debate he will get a lot of them back. He will be in Columbus today, too.

Do you know what dates this poll was taken?

Obama is down to only a (+3) lead in today's Siena Poll for PA (43-40) but it appears that Romney's numbers aren't great either - they're appears to be a larger undecided number.

And rightly or wrongly it looks like he was unprepared, and voters are judging him harshly for it.

He himself has admitted he was not at his best.

I think it's safe to say he will have more fight in him next time.

A 70 point lead with Latinos, a 98 point lead with blacks, and yet they are almost tied?

I've never seen or played Angry Birds, but someone should make another game and call it Angry White Males, because apparently they can tie an election.

Tue Oct 9, 2012, 11:49 AM
Oct 2012

Coming into this week, Obama had a 52-point lead with Latinos (eg. Latino Decisions) and about a 90 or so point lead with Blacks.

The Pew poll claims Romney ties Obama with women, but I find that hard to believe. I don't think that will hold up in other polls. Most women I know don't like Romney.

He was also polling at close to 2008 levels with white voters prior to last week.

Ohio then that is a wrap. Our sure fire way to keep Romney from winning was Ohio. If the people of Ohio are jumping ship despite the auto bailout then this could be the beginning of the end. And all of it is Obama's fault.

CNN Poll: Ohio Stays In Obama Column After Debate

Source: TPM/CNN

Obama leads Romney 51 percent to 47 percent in the Buckeye State, a smaller advantage than the president has had in the state during the last few weeks of polling. But with Romney surging nationally on a good performance in the first presidential debate, the CNN numbers contradict four other polls fielded after the event that showed the race within 1 point, and Romney leading three of them.
