Romney campaign moves staff out of Pennsylvania to help GOTV in Ohio

The campaign is not entirely pulling out of Pennsylvania, however, contrary to reports suggesting otherwise. Neither is the Republican National Committee or their "Victory" operation. Between the campaign and the national party, there are 24 offices in Pennsylvania, and 40 in Ohio.

By contrast, President Obama's campaign has 45 offices in Pennsylvania, and 120 in Ohio.

Obama's debate performance has given them an opening in Ohio and they are jumping on it.

Ohio was almost ours until this debate implosion.

The odds still favor the President, but it's unfortunate to give Romney a shot at Ohio when Obama had almost closed the deal there.

Btw, there's a Siena poll out today showing Obama only +3 in PA, but perhaps even the Romney campaign isn't taking that one seriously?

But do you really think polling right now matters? Don't you think that it is going to change, and/or be irrelevant once we vote?

There is no closing the deal a month or so out. The verbiage you use is why some folks think you might have other motives. I once did, but I no longer think that. Rather, it strikes me that you don't have a lot of campaign experience.

Have you followed many campaigns closely before, or is this your first one? This stuff is normal. Here's a taste:

October 19, 2004 - Ohio Likely Voters - Kerry - 50%, Bush 47%, with Kerry whalloping Bush on economic issues 73-25%.

Relax and watch this play out for a week. Then if things are still deteriorating, let's talk again.

and it's still impossible for Mitt anyhow even if he does win.

How many imposters are in our midst here?

The most telling bit about this little article to me is that Obama has three times more Ohio offices than Romney. Seems like moving a handful of PA staffers to Ohio is going to amount to too little, too late.

When Romney loses Ohio, it means he loses and it also means the tide didn't turn, because to win all those other states would have meant he won Ohio.

And its over 50 for Obama in Ohio. The # is not going to drop.
