(3,447 posts)I'd replace the regular deck and televise it. Imagine it, the sponsors, the lights, the STADIUMS! A Pokemon tournament to decide the winner of the primary!
...hey, at least it'd be entertaining. "Who will Bernie lead with? Pikachu is a good choice, but Squirtle is looking like a strong contender!"

(68,918 posts)She was a basic commercial pig. Her "dads" decided to raise her anyway, moved houses to a farm and started a farm sanctuary called "Happily Ever Esther..." The love they have for this very large pig warms my heart.
She posts on Facebook every day, and I absolutely adore her. When I think of what her life would have been like on a commercial farm and what probably happened to her litter mates, it brings me to tears. Bacon and ham were the first things to go in my fridge.

(8,732 posts)Do you know how easy it is to fix those results? Even a mediocre magician or card handler can produce just about any card they want from standard deck of cards.
restorefreedom
(12,655 posts)i don't doubt they will try anything, but how does one get the desired card in a shuffled deck?
i admit i am terribly ignorant of most things cards....

Ties happen in caucuses. It's not that big of a deal.
I know it's easy to make fun of coin tosses (Iowa) or drawing cards (NV) but you have to have some way of settling ties.
These things happen, and no one ever notices when the races aren't tight.
But because we've got very tight races, everything is analyzed.
It's not cheating. It's just how it is.
I do agree that it is unusual. I also agree that a different system is most likely better! But it's not totally terrible.
