Have We Heard the Last About Women's Issues? Really?

I seriously want to know. I don't know the "topics" to be covered on the last two Presidential Debates, but I'm guessing a lot of time will be spent on Foreign Policy, the Economy, Taxes, Social Security, and trying to make up for Debate #1 (i.e., posturing).

So when do we women get to hear Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan defend their BARBARIC stance against women's health care and women's rights issues? Do we get to hear them defend the governors of states who have imposed medievil mandatory restrictions..or get to hear them tell us how they feel birth control should be outlawed?

Because that was one of the most compelling issues we've been hearing about for the past 3 months.

Now, all we hear is Debate Performance, Big Bird and Stylism. Really?

If anyone knows the answer to this, or even if anyone else is wondering the same thing, I'd like to hear about it. It almost seems like the Romney Camp arranged this whole fiasco to get that issue off the front burner. Are they that smart?

Or are we just that gullible?

Bright Shiny Object!!!

"OMFG, did you see today's poll?"

"How about those 49ers?"

"Oh,no, Ben the Bachelor is breaking up with Courtney Robertson!" (sadly, that is BIG NEWS in our neck of the woods)

and on and on and on...

2. I am not buying it that women have suddenly broken with Obama and have run over to Romney....

I Saw in one poll that the 20 point lead Obama had with women had been erased and they are now even. I just cannot believe that. It makes no sense particularly given the position that Ryan and Romney have on Roe V. Wade, birth control and Equal Pay for Equal work, among other issues.

I just can't and won't believe that women are that wishy washy. And the positions of Romney and Ryan are NOT well guarded secrets.

I was wondering how the question was posed in the poll and in what order were questions asked. That can make a difference in the response you get.

No matter.....I am not buying it. I heard someone saying that women responded NEGATIVELY to Romney's aggressive and rude behavior in the debate. So it doesn't make sense to me that they would then endorse HIM after he acted like such a pompous jackass last week.

group as the GOPers who screamed that the polls were rigged and the Labor Stats were doctored.

I wonder if women who got polled were just extremely PISSED that Women's Issues were not even mentioned? That's a stretch, but still, I know I'm really ticked about it right now.

It''s like if the media doesn't talk about it, it doesn't exist? WTF??

4. Yes, and I agree with you that we shouldn't fall into that same trap of saying the polls

Are rigged. Especially if we are saying ALL of them are wrong. But I think this was just reported in one poll. Maybe it was the Pew Poll? I am starting to get foggy brain trying to keep up with who said what!!! In any case, that's why I was wondering how the question was worded and in what order.

The last thing I want to do is sound like the other side who seem to go into their sour grapes mode any time they don't like the report. But I do think we need to ask who is doing the poll, how many were sampled and margin of error. Just the basics of evaluating whether a poll is credible. In some cases, they will come out clean as a whistle. But when something changes 20 points in a very short time, I just think it bears scrutiny. And even more so when it is a HUGE voting block.

We got some serious issues going on here and the ride is getting rougher every day. We need each other to ride out this storm!

cause that big a loss in women's support. My guess is that they oversampled Republican women. A right wing stand against abortion rights and contraception among female fundies might have been the reason. But we never had them in our camp anyway.

Why do Dems ignore the implications for the Supreme Court? Is that a losing issue? The court is thisclose to tilting far enough right that our entire future will be screwed. Does anyone think Ginsburg will last on the court for four more years? I never understand why this isn't made an issue.

Maybe it's just me, but if that was my ONLY reason to vote Obama, I'd drag myself over hot coals and broken glass to vote.
