(28,270 posts)Hillary or Bernie.
The republicans are the greatest threat not my fellow democrats as many Bernie fans seem to think.

(23,867 posts)They believe the hype. 8 years of bush, and they still don't get it. Here we have the candidate of a lifetime, and it's like pearls before swine. I'll keep at it, but it's like being in a detox center versus a gymnastics meet. Pretty dysfunctional society.
What a numb nation.

(79 posts)Change takes a long time. As the old saying goes Rome was not built in a day. Look at how long it has been since AA were freed from slavery. While change has occurred, AA still have obstacles to attaining first class citizenship. We make two steps forward and one step backwards. Why is that? It has a lot to do with changing people's hearts. It is very complicated.

(23,867 posts)Someone posted this yesterday. I paid no attention to it, but then decided to listen. I've spent a lifetime looking at this society from an outsider's perspective. I've watched the destruction of everything I love. But there was a reply to one of my posts about how to endure people who are pulling in the wrong direction. He said that people are perfection in imperfect vessels. So there is a different context now. It's not just other voters trying to tug us in the wrong direction. It's that some of us are more conscious than others. Or further along on some path. Not sure how to put it. It's something that takes the guilt association away. Instead of us being enemies, it becomes the teachers and students, I believe.
So I'm back and forth, because of my own weakness. But I see a more universal picture now. I think the video does a great job of describing our situation. It's not a game with an end. It's forever, and we're working on things. I want to get angry. I want to hate. I feel like we're at the mercy of idiots. But it isn't really like that. We have to get smart enough to bring others into our realm of consciousness.

(35,015 posts)If you naively think that Hillary will be able to suddenly inspire these kids you have no clue. They're not wanting the status quo shoved down their throats anymore. They will not fall in line, no matter how much fear is used.

(63,912 posts)the youth have a personal stake: their student loans are crippling them and in turn that cripples the strength of our economy...

(35,015 posts)I replied to you but it was meant for another. Sorry about that. Bernie isn't about falling in line - his young supporters (and even older ones) will not support Hillary if he loses.
