Bernie Could Sweep Remaining Caucus States

Nate Silver, the statistician behind the famed FiveThirtyEight blog who predicts election wins with almost unerring accuracy, claims that Sanders has the ability to win every state caucus held after Nevada, and that Sanders’ loss in that state may be the beginning of a big winning streak for him in the remaining caucuses.

...
The next two states to caucus are Colorado and Minnesota, with both states set to vote on Super Tuesday. Most recently, polls coming out of Colorado show that Sanders has managed to pull out ahead of Hillary Clinton, who once held a double-digit lead in that state. The Washington Free Beacon poll reported Sanders holding 49 percent of support, compared to Clinton’s 43 percent.

...
The race for the Democratic nomination and, ultimately, the White House, is far from being over for the Vermont senator, and Sanders is looking at his narrow defeat in Nevada as a victory of sorts, saying that the narrow margin has made him certain “we’re going to see the results of one of the great political upsets in the history of the United States” in July.

That, and I doubt people look to the Cubs as a force for revolutionary change.

...the flaw in the Clinton campaign last time was that they didn't contest Primary States at all, and Obama racked up huge numbers of delegates. Clinton has learned from her mistake and will be involved in each race; even if Sanders win, she'll take a bigger share of delegates than last time.

Meanwhile, Sanders seems to have acknowledges that he's not going to be competitive in the Southern States with large African-American populations. That was a huge part of Obama's winning formula; if they go to Clinton, that'll be a big boost.

5. All states are important.... and it will serve Clinton well to observe more of a 50-state strategy.

I haven't heard Sanders say he's not going to be competitive in the Southern States at all. He does say that Hillary is doing well there. He also says he's not giving up there.

7. I'd wager that Silver is right, but there's a problem.

Caucus states comprise only 10% of the total delegates. Bernie needs a lot of help from the primary states.
