On GOP Side - Corporate America's Effort To Choose an Electable Candidate - Rubio

Has there ever been such a clear effort to handpick a candidate for President? Now, from a policy point of view, there is not much difference between the so-called anti-establishment candidates like Cruz and Trump versus the establishment candidates like Bush and Rubio. The only difference is that Bush/Rubio are practiced in describing the same right wing policies in a milquetoast, non-offensive manner.

Yet, corporate America is bending over backwards to cram down a milquetoast alternative to Cruz and Trump down the throat of voters such that a second or third place finish for Rubio is celebrated as some great victory. This ignores that Cruz/Trump voters still are getting the bulk of the votes versus so-called establishment choices.

In the Clinton/Sanders race, they have each won a primary or caucus, so they should each be covered. Likewise, O'Malley did not win anything, so it is understandable that he does not get attention. But, can you imagine if O'Malley was given the same amount of attention as Rubio despite the fact that he had not won a primary? Clinton and Sanders supporters would be going crazy at such manipulation.

Finally, what does Rubio bring to the race besides a penchant for brain lock? He was not born independently wealthy, he is from Florida, he speaks Spanish, and he does not stray from his talking points and say something like ban all Muslims. In other words, he is an ideal Trojan horse candidate designed to check the boxes, win Florida, and peel off Hispanic voters.
